More about Dr. Barbara Ezrre:
At age 10, Dr. Ezrre was fascinated by a hip replacement surgery she saw on TV and knew she wanted to be a doctor. As a pre-med undergraduate student working in the Emergency Room at Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital, she realized that many patients could have been spared trips to the ER if they had been provided preventative care along the way. Dr. Ezrre graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University (2001) and went on to earn her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine with Honors from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (2006). Upon graduation from her medical program, Dr. Ezrre completed a Residency in Naturopathic Family Practice (2007).
Dr. Ezrre focuses on treating Women’s Health, Chronic Fatigue, Mental Health, Thyroid and other Hormonal Imbalances, Weight Loss and Nutritional Counseling, Diabetes Prevention and Management, Allergies and Digestive Issues. Dr. Ezrre loves treating women because, as a wife and mother herself, she knows that by helping mom feel better and focus on her own health, this will translate into improved health for the whole family.
As a faculty member at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM), Dr. Ezrre has taught clinical neurology and multiple didactic courses preparing students for clinical training as well as providing medical care at the Sojourner Center, a domestic violence shelter for women and children. This work propelled her to co-author a book entitled, The Pocket Reference for Naturopathic Clinicians, a one-of-a-kind reference book that integrates diagnostic and therapeutic information into one resource for Naturopathic medical students and physicians. It is a highly valued reference for Naturopathic clinicians at all Naturopathic schools across the United States.
Dr. Ezrre also advocates and works towards making Naturopathic care available to the uninsured and underserved patients in the metropolitan Phoenix area. Dr. Ezrre is an Arizona Native and speaks Spanish fluently. In her free time, Dr. Ezrre loves travelling, cooking and gardening.
