  • Watch what you eat. Pay attention to head pain that occurs following a meal, as it might be a food allergy that’s the culprit. Try not to skip meals — this habit can bring on an aching head, too.
  • Drink plenty of water. Dehydration is a very common reason for an aching head. Most of us don’t realize we aren’t getting enough H2O. Aim for 8-10 cups per day.
